Bio

St. Louis, Missouri, Missouri Chapter Branch School Instructor 1994, 1995. National champion in Chen Form; U.S. Wushu Kungfu Federation 1991: 2nd in moving push hands and a first in double sword (wushu division) has been studying with Justin Meehan since 1985 has attended many seminars conducted by Master Zhang. Classes taught at numerous locations. Co-Author of Taiji/Qigong for Women video tape with Mark Johnson.

Introduction to Qigong

Date: Wednesday, Dec. 6th, 2006

Location: The Haelan Centers 7349 Dale Ave. (Just off Hwy 40 and Bellvue)

Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Fee:

Description: Become familiar with the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medical Theory; Yin /Yang, the 5 Elements, Qi and the components that are the foundation for Qi Gong (energy work).   Then learn Qigong techniques that empower you to aid in your own health and healing. Pre-requisite for further study.


Health Maintenance Qigong (for Deep Healing)

Dates: Wednesdays (Feb. 21 through Mar. 28, 2007 — 6 weeks)

Location: The Haelan Centers 7349 Dale Ave. (Just off Hwy 40 and Bellvue)

Time: 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Fee: $120

Description: This class is suitable for beginners and all levels of experience. In this series of 7 classes you will learn the basic elements of Qigong (energy work). The first class will show a short PBS video followed by a discussion of what Qigong is and isn’t. Intention, breath, movement, posture, and sound are all component parts of Qigong. Learning to access the relaxation response is key (from a western science perspective) to tapping into the innate healing potential. In the coming weeks, you will learn simple exercises and meditations to access the deep healing potential in us all.


Special Event: Health Defense Day Camp

Dates: Sat. and Sun., June 9-10, 2007

Location: Malcolm Terrace Park

Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Location: Ely, Minnesota

Description: Join Cis Hager and Rebecca Kali at the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness near Ely, Minnesota for a week long retreat of play combined with learning Tai Chi, Qigong, and subtle-energy work in a program specially developed to benefit women.
